Carlisle
Machine Works, Inc is a family owned manufacturing company that
has been supplying firepower in the form of gas burners to
industry since 1918. The company opened the Carlisle School of
Glass Art in October 2005. The School is the brainchild of
Mary Dougherty,
President of Carlisle. Her family has been in the South Jersey
glass industry for generations. In fact, her great-grandfather
is a well-known glass worker from the area. Her hope is that his
legacy will live on through the Carlisle School of Glass Art.
