Come and join us for the third annual Glass Stock East!
Glass Stock East is a sharing, collaborating event modeled after the Glass Stock festival which has run for 10 years on the Oregon Coast by Deb Crowley with much success. From a small gathering of 30 of Deb's friends in 2003 to almost 90 in attendance at Glass Stock West in 2012, this event as grown in popularity with artists willing to teach and share.
It is a chance to get "out of the box" and learn new skills, get priceless feedback and inspiration.
Deb has teamed up with some of her west coast staff and new east coast artists to host this event at Carlisle School of Glass for 2013, our 3rd year on the east coast!
We have chosen Wednesday evening of October 2nd, 2013, as opening night and October 3- 6th, 2013, as the dates for the event to come together and collaborate on some incredible, unique art glass.
Glass Stock East will be held at the Carlisle Glass School in Millville, NJ. www.carlisleschoolofglassart.com
Due to high demand we are opening Glass Stock East signups early this year. You may sign up anytime from January 2nd to September 30, 2013. Email questions to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com. You can also call Carlisle Machine at 800-922-1167 to pay tuition.
We are making some major changes this year, starting with the new 4 full day format like we have been doing for 10 years at GS West. We are adding another full day to the event.
The Meet and Greet will now be on Wednesday night with demonstrations happening that night, along with a bead exchange and light snacks.
The next 3 days will be 6 classes (instead of 5 like last 2 years). You will get 4 participating torch classes and 2 demo or other classes.
Sunday will be the glass elimination, drawings and open torches all afternoon.
Carlisle School of Glass has set up a payment link for early payments. WWW.CARLISLESCHOOLOFGLASSART.COM click on glass stock east.
The early bird does catch fatter worms, the sooner you pay the better selection of classes available. Since everyone gets 4 torch classes this year we will be offering more torch classes and less "other" classes. No refunds but tuition may be transferred.
The featured artists and staff are posted below for 2013, although we may have a couple more artists apply to teach. The classes will be posted by March 25th so you can see what classes we will be offering. The actual schedule will be up by June 1st and newsletters will start coming by email.
Class selection via phone will be June 29-30th with Deb Crowley.
