About this Instructor:
Glass and the love
of color pushes Pamela's work in several directions
including beads, small sculptures, jewelry and
marbles. Her education in Textiles from OSU in
Columbus, Ohio, has offered her a keen awareness to
design, color and aesthetics. She has taught in
numerous mediums including fiber, metal, and polymer
clay as well as glass, her real love. She has been
privileged to have her work represented by Mostly
Glass Gallery at SOFA Chicago. Pamela's work has
been shown in many galleries across the U.S. and
Canada, including Arts Afire, Mostly Glass, Riley
Hawk, Sherrie Gallerrie, Cool Arts, and Peter Vale.
Her work has been
featured in many publications including Lapidary
Journal, Bell Armoire, Bead and Button, The Annealer,
The Flow and in Larks 1000 Glass Beads.
She is the
recipient of numerous awards including the Dominic
Labino Award for excellence in glass.
Teaching is what
delights and inspires Pamela most and she does so
across the U.S. in her home studio and most notably
for Bead and Button Magazine in Wisconsin.
Glass is
for her the most amazing, challenging, and inspiring
medium one can work with. It's beauty is
unparalleled.
